Master Knight

Now watch as I tear on through to Chalphy! I'm pitting the entire might of the Grau Ritter against those damn rebels!
— Burian

Burian (Japanese: ブリアン Burian) was the Duke of Grannvale's House Dozel in Grann 777, the successor of his father Danan following his death in Isaach, and the inheritor of Helswath. While the rest of his family was deployed in Isaach as its occupational rulers, Burian remained behind in Grannvale.

Burian was entrusted with the care and defense of the Dozel territory itself, and with the leadership of the Grau Ritter, while Danan resided in Isaach as its "king". Danan also left Helswath behind in Burian's care instead of wielding it himself in Isaach. In the final battle between Grannvale and Seliph's liberation army in Grann 777, Danan personally led the Grauritter in an assault on Chalphy Castle while Seliph was busy fighting in Edda. He was slain in battle.
