FEA Bride.png
Concept artwork of a Bride from The Art of Fire Emblem Awakening.

A woman blessed by Lady Luck. Wields lances, bows, and staves.

Lance, Bow, Staff

Rally Heart, Bond

The Bride (Japanese: 花嫁 Bride) is a special female-only class exclusive to Fire Emblem Awakening. It exists only as additional downloadable content, coming with the DLC chapter Smash Brethren 2 and debuting as Eirika's class in said chapter. Using the Wedding Bouquet which comes as one of the rewards for completion of the chapter, any female unit can be reclassed to Bride. The class is similar to the War Cleric, using staves alongside melee weapons, here lances and bows.

The Bride does not exist in the game's data by default, and is only added to the game by the DLC package. As such, if a unit reclassed to Bride is sent via StreetPass to a copy of Awakening which has not purchased its DLC package, or if a copy of the game with the DLC purchase is loaded without the DLC present on the console's SD card, it shall appear in that copy of the game as an Outrealm Class.

Other appearances

Fire Emblem Heroes

While Heroes lacks traditional classes several character variants featuring Bride or Bride-like attire have been released in the game:

Fire Emblem Warriors

Like Heroes, Warriors also lacks a typical class system. It does feature two equippable Bride-themed costumes, one for Lucina as a reward for purchasing the Season Pass, and one for Caeda included in the Shadow Dragon DLC pack.

  • Curiously, for a class which was based around a redesign of Eirika, the Bride and Eirika do not share any useable weapon types from Eirika's source material, The Sacred Stones. Eirika cannot use Bows, Staves or Lances in The Sacred Stones, and nor can the Bride use Swords, Eirika's weapon of choice.
