Engage

Break (Japanese: ブレイク Break) is a status introduced in Fire Emblem Engage. A unit suffering break cannot counterattack; break lasts through the combat it is inflicted in and through an additional round of combat, or until the start of the next phase. Break is typically inflicted when a unit with weapon triangle advantage initiates combat and damages their foe, but it can also be inflicted by other means, such as when a smashed unit would be moved into impassable terrain or when a Qi Adept unit uses certain Engage attacks. The Fracture staff inflicts Break as its only effect.
