In Fire Emblem Heroes, Anna is a playable character and a primary figure in the plot, appearing in a majority of the game's cutscenes.

Biography

Unlike her sisters, the Anna of Zenith is not a merchant, but is instead the commander of the Order of Heroes, to whom Alfonse and Sharena report directly.

There are five different variations of Anna available to Heroes, two of which are tied to her storyline appearance in Heroes, two to her appearances in Awakening, and one to her appearance in Engage.

The normal variation of Heroes Anna is one of the characters available from the game's initial launch; prior to version 2.5, the normal variation of Anna began the game as a two-star unit, whereas players who first begin the game after the release of version 2.5 have her begin the game as a four-star unit instead. As the normal version of Anna is a unique unit, she cannot be acquired via summoning, nor can she be dismissed in exchange for Hero Feathers. A New Year's-themed variation of Anna was made available between the period of January 1, 2020 through February 6, 2020 as part of the summoning event surrounding the Renewed Spirit update.

A variation of Anna based on the boss of Apotheosis was added to the game in the Wallowing in Love update, and became available for summoning by players on June 5, 2020. A bridal variation of Anna was added in the Bridal Dreams update, and was first available to summon from May 19, 2023.

A Halloween-themed version of Anna from Engage—a Harmonized hero paired with an Awakening incarnation of Anna—was added in the Merchant's Harvest update, and was first available to summon from October 5 of 2023.

Analysis

This character analysis section may not be accurate to every player's experience.

Like the other main characters of the game, Anna: Commander cannot be merged for more power, kicked out of the player's barracks, or sacrificed as inheritance fodder. To be quite frank, this makes her a top contender for the single worst unit in the game. Anna is also let down by her poor Attack (only 29 at 5* level 40 which cannot be salvaged through merges) and terrible personal weapon (teleport to nearby allies). Her only trait of value is her consistent presence as a bonus unit in Arena and Aether Raids. If you're desperate enough to field her, you could try giving her a Wo Gùn and Glimmer or a Slaying Axe and Moonbow, but you should never use her if you can help it.
