Zanbato

FEPR Longsword concept.png
Concept art of a Longsword from Tellius Recollection: Volume 1.

A sword designed to deal increased damage against units mounted on horseback.

Type

Sword

First game

Fire Emblem: The Blazing Blade

The Longsword (Japanese: 長柄刀 Longsword) or Zanbato (Japanese: 斬馬刀 Horseslayer Sword) is a sword which was introduced in Fire Emblem: The Blazing Blade. It is designed to fight units fighting on horseback, and is very effective against Cavaliers, Paladins, Troubadours, and similar classes. However, its length makes it very heavy and slows down its wielder significantly.
