- Longsword redirects here. As such, it is not to be confused with the Long Sword of Fire Emblem: Thracia 776.

The Longsword (Japanese: 長柄刀 Longsword) or Zanbato (Japanese: 斬馬刀 Horseslayer Sword) is a sword which was introduced in Fire Emblem: The Blazing Blade. It is designed to fight units fighting on horseback, and is very effective against Cavaliers, Paladins, Troubadours, and similar classes. However, its length makes it very heavy and slows down its wielder significantly.
