Plot

Kris and Katarina are placed together in the 7th Platoon along with the cavalrymen Luke and Roderick and the archer Raian. Jagen orders the group to designate a leader; Luke volunteers himself, and Katarina suggests Kris. To settle the debate, the two engage in mock combat, with Luke taking Roderick as an ally and Kris taking Raian. Luke and Roderick's poor teamwork spells their swift downfall, and Kris is named commander of the 7th Platoon.
