Appearance(s)

Xane (Japanese: チェイニー Cheine) is an Archanean Manakete and the only character in the Fire Emblem series of the Freelancer class. Initially, he claims to be from a far away land, and that all of his kin can transform as he does, though no other Manakete is shown to have his ability to transform into other people, though it may have something to do with him discarding his dragonstone.

Trivia

  • Xane's Manakete heritage may have been the impetus for Shadow Dragon's PAL region localization team to localize the name of his class as "Chameleon".
  • In Tear Ring Saga, there is a character named Narsus who is very similar to Xane, with both of them having the ability to transform into other units.
