Wolt

“ | I can only use bows. An archer can't even defend himself at close range. I won't be able to protect Lord Roy if something happens... | ” | — Wolt to Marcus in a support conversation. |

Wolt (Japanese: ウォルト Wolt) is a playable character in Fire Emblem: The Binding Blade. He first appears in Chapter 1.
He is an archer from Pherae and the son of Rebecca. His father's identity is unknown, but possible options are Wil the archer, Lowen the cavalier, or Sain the cavalier, given their shared endings with Rebecca in Fire Emblem: The Blazing Blade. He is milk brothers with Roy, making them grow up extremely close to each other.
In Fire Emblem Awakening, Wolt returns as an extra playable character, and he also makes an appearance in some of the DLC chapters.
Fire Emblem: The Binding Blade
Role
A loyal knight of Pherae, Wolt is first seen escorting Roy back to Pherae, alongside Marcus and Alen. When word from the bandits' attack reach them and Roy expresses his worry about Lilina, Wolt admonishes him to leave his regrets behind and to fight.
After saving Castle Pherae, Wolt stays by Roy's side, first as part of Pherae's army, then in the Lycian League's army, and finally, as a member of the Etrurian army during the final stages of war.
Once Bern is defeated and the war is over, he goes back to Pherae and helps Roy rebuild Lycia.

Personality and character
Wolt is a loyal servant of House Pherae, somewhat slow and not very self-confident, but always willing to try new things, such as wielding a sword or shooting from horseback.
Roy and he have grown up as brothers, as Rebecca was Roy's wet nurse, but Wolt is very aware of their different positions in society. Actually, this is a cause of conflict between them in their supports; while Roy wants him to be his brother and friend, Wolt is determined to become a servant, even if that means hurting his lord.[1] Yet this does not meant that Wolt does not care about him: he swears to be always by Roy's side and help him.[2]
In the supports with his fellow knights, he is amazed at Alen's physical prowess[3] and Lance's deep knowledge. Both knights can take him under their wing and train him.[4] His relationship with Marcus is a bit different; Wolt shows his lack of confidence and feelings of inadequacy, and even has problems believing the older knight's words of reassurance.[5]
He also cares for all members of their army, as seen in his supports with Sue. He shows a friendly side to her, caring for her welfare and trying her suggestions.[6]
