The Witch (Japanese: 魔女 Witch) is a magical class which originated in Fire Emblem Gaiden. In addition to possessing formidable prowess as an offensive magical class with their high magic stats, Witches are the only class to possess the infamous Warp skill, which allows them to teleport themselves somewhere else on the map before, in Gaiden at least, continuing on to perform another action. In Gaiden, this ability effectively gives them infinite movement, as their self-warping ability has unlimited range.

The Witch class is exclusive to female units. In Gaiden, it is an enemy-exclusive variant of the Mage class, and while there are two recruitable Witches, Sonya and Dyute, both their classes change to Mage upon recruitment. In Fates, Witches return as a playable class, and any female unit is able to reclass to witch by using a Witch's Mark item, which is obtained from the DLC chapter Witches' Trial.

Witch

A witch is a (usually female) practitioner of magic. In the western world, where various forms of Christianity have historically been the dominant religions, witches are often regarded as evil entities who worship the Devil and were often the subject of witch-hunts, where innocent people were often accused of being witches, were subjected to biased trials and executed.
