Whispers of Death is the fourth available xenologue chapter of Fire Emblem Heroes, and the final chapter released in its Book II era.
This chapter appears to basically serve as part of a connecting story between the plots of Books II and III, and introduces Hel, a character predicted to be prominent in the Book III story.

Chapter data
This chapter features only one playable map, unlike other chapters of Heroes. Unusually for a xenologue, the map's name differs from that of the chapter, more along the lines of the first Book I Intermission.

Trivia
- This chapter is the first Heroes xenologue chapter to be a primary update focus, and as such was shown off in a reveal trailer.
- Said reveal trailer, however, basically stated that this chapter was going to be a paralogue chapter instead of a xenologue chapter[1]; had this chapter been a paralogue chapter like the reveal trailer implied, it would have been paralogue 28.
- This is also the first Heroes xenologue chapter to include generic enemy units.
