The Viskam (Japanese: ヴィスカム Viskam) is an automatic turret weapon akin to ballistae that appears in Fire Emblem: Three Houses, and is employed exclusively by “those who slither in the dark”. It deals damage based on Magic instead of Strength, meaning it targets the enemy's Resistance much like the Fire Orb. Viskam appear as map objects that cannot be destroyed, though they can be deactivated by defeating a specific enemy or by pressing a particular switch on the map. Unlike other turret types like the Ballista and Launcher, Viskam inflict damage only to the targeted enemy.

Trivia

  • The Viskam is actually comprised of two parts; a solid ballista object coded to use the Viskam weapon when employed, and a hidden invisible enemy unit with 5 Mag, 0 Mov and 100 HP which is (de)spawned through specific triggers. Getting near an active Viskam in Zoom View will reveal the hidden unit uses a placeholder portrait.
    • The Viskam weapon in question is considered a Sword in the game's code and will display itself as such if hacked into the game.[1] In spite of this, it isn't affected by Swordbreaker when the turret in question uses it.
