The Troubadour (トルバドール, Torabadooru) class is a class of healers on horseback. They first appeared in Fire Emblem: Genealogy of the Holy War, in which they could use swords and staves. After appearing in Fire Emblem: Thracia 776, they lost the ability to use swords in Fire Emblem: The Binding Blade and on. They have only appeared in the above games, Fire Emblem: The Blazing Blade, and Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones. Usually in other games, clerics or priests take their place.

Troubadours usually have high magic and luck, since they do not need to attack. Often, they have high resistance but low defense. In Seisen no Keifu and Thracia 776, although they can use swords, their strength is still slightly below average, so placing them where enemies can attack them can be dangerous. In Fuuin no Tsurugi, Blazing Sword, and The Sacred Stones, since they cannot attack at all, they should be kept out of enemy attack range as much as possible.

In Seisen no Keifu and Thracia 776, troubadours change class to paladins. In Blazing Sword and The Sacred Stones, they change class to valkyries. Finally, in The Sacred Stones, they can change class to either valkyries or mage knights.

All troubadours are female.
