Regrets? Heh, you must be joking. You know we're far past the point of regret. And it always falls on the younger brother to clean up the mistakes of their elders, doesn't it?

Tower of Black Winds is the fifth chapter of Fire Emblem: Three Houses.
Plot
- Main article: Tower of Black Winds/Script
Rhea and Seteth explain that Miklan, a former son of House Gautier who was disinherited after his brother Sylvain was born with a Crest, has gathered a band of thieves and stolen the Lance of Ruin, the Hero's Relic of House Gautier. Byleth's mission for the month is to kill Miklan and reclaim the Relic. Accompanied by the veteran knight Gilbert, Byleth and their students venture to Conand Tower, where Miklan is holed up. The group routs the bandits and injures Miklan. However, the Lance of Ruin unexpectedly goes berserk, corrupting and mutating Miklan into a horrific monster. Byleth and the students narrowly manage to overwhelm Miklan and finish him off, reclaiming the Lance of Ruin. In the aftermath, Rhea declares Miklan's fate to be divine punishment for being arrogant enough to steal a Relic. The lord character laments to Byleth how Miklan's lack of a Crest ruined his life and caused his natural leadership abilities to go to waste on a group of bandits. As Byleth discusses their next mission with Rhea, a panicked Seteth appears and reveals that his younger sister Flayn has gone missing.
If Byleth is a member of the Black Eagles, during their conversation about Miklan's fate, Edelgard proposes the idea that the world would be better off without the goddess or the Crests. Afterwards, Hubert approaches her and voices his concerns that she may have let too much information slip to Byleth. She counters that she needs other people's abilities to succeed in her mission, hence her borrowing the power of "those people", and that it would be better for their plans if Byleth wielded the Sword of the Creator in her stead.

Strategy

During this month, you gain a couple of quests that require you to go out and do battle. Make sure to do those as soon as possible, because you don't want to build up a backlog when you're trying to do paralogues and rare monster battles. You'll also want to have units with 3 range to deal with this month's mission; Archers gain Bowrange +1 as a class skill, while Dorothea and Hubert gain access to the 3-range spells Thoron, Mire Β, and Death Γ. Quests for this month unlock the Saint statues, which allow you to spend Renown for party-wide upgrades, the blacksmith, which allows you to forge and repair weapons, and two new merchants in the marketplace. The Eastern Merchant is particularly valuable since he sells Smithing Stones, allowing you to ensure you always have basic weaponry available and forged.
