Plot
- Main article: Throne of Knowledge/Script
Shamir reports that Edelgard's forces are going to meet up with the main Imperial army and invade Garreg Mach Monastery in two week's time. Rhea orders Byleth to assume her duties if something should happen to her in the upcoming battle. Afterwards, Seteth demands that Rhea explain just what Byleth is, and Rhea reveals that Byleth is the vessel for the progenitor god and that they will eventually become one with the power within and resurrect said god. Two weeks pass, and the Adrestian army arrives with Edelgard at its head. A climatic battle ensues, and Byleth seemingly gets the upper hand against Edelgard, but she calls in reinforcements led by Lord Arundel. Rhea entrusts the safety of the Garreg Mach citizens to Byleth, to which they agree to. She declares she will not allow a repeat of the Red Canyon tragedy, transforms into a colossal dragon, and decimates the Imperial forces. Several Demonic Beasts attack and put Rhea on the back foot, but Byleth reinforces her after they evacuate the Officers Academy students, with Rhea asking why Byleth came back. Suddenly, Thales appears and knocks Byleth into a deep ravine. As narrated by Jeralt, Adrestia wins the Battle of Garreg Mach and forces the Knights of Seiros to surrender, and Rhea goes missing. The Empire then begins a full-scale war with Faerghus and Leicester.

Be warned that this is the last opportunity you will have to spend time in the monastery and recruit students from other houses before the end of Part I. Also note that at the end of the chapter, all of your inventory items will be automatically fully repaired, so feel free to cut loose during the final battle.
Trivia
- The route split at the end of this chapter is the first one in the franchise to be determined by a decision made in a previous chapter, in this case the choice of which house to lead at the beginning of Chapter 1.
