Ilyana casting a thunder tome in Fire Emblem Cipher.

Thunder magic (Japanese: thunder) is a type of elemental magic found in the Fire Emblem series. In Fire Emblem: Genealogy of the Holy War, Fire Emblem: Thracia 776, Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance and Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn, thunder magic is found as its own subset of tomes, and has an advantage against fire magic and light magic, but a disadvantage against wind magic and dark magic. In the Tellius games, thunder magic also does extra damage to dragon tribe laguz and wyvern-based enemies. In the GBA games, thunder magic exists as a subset of anima magic, and it has an advantage against light magic, but a disadvantage against dark magic. In all of the other games, thunder-based tomes exist, but have no special qualities compared to other tomes.
