Beginning log
Respecting the promise made between Arion and Linoan, the Liberation Army retreated from Tahra. As for their next destination, the army's opinions split. The Fiana Freeblades and the Magi wanted to free Munster first, while the nobles from Leonster and Tahra sought to liberate Leonster. In the end, both sides agreed that heading for Leonster first would be more efficient. However, Leif was to be faced with another decision here...

Strategy

This is Thracia's split route chapter. You can head left for the Nohrden Line in the west, or Melfiye Forest in the east. Alternatively, one can make this decision at the church (recommended for receiving a Restore staff). Be sure to recruit Ralf, a pre-promoted mercenary.
Each path has its own benefits and drawbacks. Heading west grants the bulky Ilios, the A-rank staves Sleuf, as well as Misha and Amalda, but the enemy numbers and recruitment difficulties make these chapters anything but a cakewalk. Heading east grants the frail Miranda, the impostor Shannam, as well as Conomor, but also contains some unique items, like a second copy of the Vouge axe and Luna Manual.
Speaking of Shannam, he will show up in the middle top fortress on turn 11 (unless a unit is currently waiting there), and while he cannot be recruited here, he has a talk conversation with Mareeta that allows him to "teach" her Astra. Though this is not mandatory, it is widely regarded as one of the more humorous aspects of Thracia.
