The Port of Badon (Japanese: 港町バドン The Port Town of Badon) is the sidequest of the the sixteenth chapter of Eliwood's tale and the seventeenth of Hector's tale in Fire Emblem: The Blazing Blade. To play this chapter, at least one NPC soldier must have survived in the previous chapter.
Plot
- Main articles: The Port of Badon/Script (Eliwood) and The Port of Badon/Script (Hector)
Eliwood now knows his father is on Valor, but to secure transportation there from the residents of Badon, as they are all afraid to travel to the "Dread Isle". Out of options, Eliwood and Hector negotiate passage to Valor with the pirate captain Fargus; Fargus requests 100,000 gold, a sum neither lord has. To raise the money, Eliwood and Hector decide to sell their most valuable possessions then bet it at the arena; however, before they can leave town, Fargus's subordinate Dart tells them Fargus has changed his mind, and will take them to Dread Isle if they can survive a gauntlet of Fargus's crew and reach the ship.
The group survives the gauntlet, and Fargus grants them transportation to Valor. Lyn is displeased to be cooperating with pirates, but acknowledges that they have no other choice.
Beginning log
After speaking with the Ostian spy Leila, Eliwood realizes he must travel to Valor, the Dread Isle. The small island, located south of Lycia, is said to be home to the Dragon's Gate. Heading for the southern coast of Caelin, they seek passage in the port of Badon.

Intro: Heh heh heh... So, you seek insight into your next battle? Augury: Oh... Oh, my... Things have gotten out of hand, haven't they? Concentrate... Go around... Around is best. You should speak with the locals. You might even meet someone. Don't waste your time with every single house though. That...is all I see.

Attacking Fargus will result in an instant game over.
Trivia
- Anna appears in this chapter. If you send a unit to the inn to talk to her, Jake will appear in a cutscene in the next chapter. If Anna is not spoken to, Dart will appear in place of Jake.
- You cannot kill Dart in this chapter; he will simply retreat after you deplete his HP. This is most likely due to the fact that he appears in later scenes (although he won`t join your team in The Dread Isle Chapter if you made him retreat in The Port of Badon chapter).
