The Azure Twin (Japanese: 碧き風空 Blue wind and sky) is the eighth paralogue chapter of Fire Emblem Engage. As a paralogue chapter, its events are not integral to the game's main storyline and can be done at the player's leisure. In this chapter, Alear takes on a challenge from Emblem Eirika in a place familiar to him in order to deepen their bonds.

Plot

Main article: The Azure Twin/Script

Alear and Eirika enter some ruins in Solm, which the latter is shocked to recognize. She explains that her home country, Renais, had been allies with the Grado Empire, until they had suddenly attacked. Eirika tells Alear that the ruins closely resemble where she and her brother had ended the war, losing a close friend in the process. Alear attempts to console her, when she suddenly asks them to spar with her to help her confront her grief. Alear accepts her challenge, which she assures will also strengthen the two's bonds.

Alear manages to defeat Eirika, who appraises them to be strong enough to face Ephraim. Alear expresses their trust in her, and she replies that she wants to continue helping their cause. Eirika tells them to have more confidence in themself, and the two agree to continue supporting one another.

Beginning log
