Mid-fest Digest is the twenty-third edition of Fire Emblem Heroes's Tempest Trials+ and the thirty-fifth overall installment of the game's Tempest story. This trial ran from January 3, 2020 through January 14, 2020. It was available in seven difficulty, level, and battle number combinations, three Normal difficulty options (all with three battles each, but with varying enemy levels), two Hard difficulty options (four and five battles each), and two Lunatic difficulty options (five and seven battles each).
The maps of paralogue 17 and 29 are available for random selection in the first two, three, four, or six battles, depending on difficulty and player's preference, preceding the final battle, which takes place on a fixed map.

Final battle
The chapter map for the final battle of this Tempest Trial.
The final battle takes place on a fixed map against four random lesser enemies and the chapter's boss, Fjorm. The four lesser enemies are drawn from pools based on weapon and movement types, as follows:
- Melee infantry (×1): These units use swords, lances, axes, red breath, blue breath, green breath, red beast, blue beast, and colorless beast and are of the Infantry movement type. For this trial, this pool consisted of: Alm, Arthur, Athena, Ayra, Bantu, Barst, Bartre, Byleth (both genders), Chrom, Corrin (both genders), Donnel, Edelgard, Eirika, Ephraim, Fae, Fir, Gerik, Gray, Hana, Hawkeye, Helbindi, Hilda, Hinata, Ike, Karel, Kana (female), Karla, Keaton, Laevatein, Laslow, Leif, Libra, Lon'qu, Lucina, Lukas, Lyn, Marth, Nah, Nailah, Nephenee, Nowi, Oboro, Ogma, Raven, Ross, Roy, Ryoma, Saber, Selena, Seliph, Shiro, Soleil, Tiki (both ages), and Velouria.
- Ranged infantry (×1): These units use bows, daggers, red tomes, blue tomes, and green tomes, and are of the Infantry movement type.
