Sword knights use swords, so they can attack from adjacent spaces. They have useful stats in all categories, and their high movement lets them move around quickly, although they cannot cross certain terrain. Since they have low [[resistance]], like other physical classes, they are often vulnerable to magic-using enemies.

The Sword Knight (Japanese: 剣騎士ソードナイト Sword Knight) class is a class of sword-wielding knights on horseback who have appeared in Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance and Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn. They are one of four classes, the Sword Knight, Lance Knight, Axe Knight, and Bow Knight classes, which are divisions of the Cavalier class. They are playable only in Path of Radiance, and there are no playable sword knights in Radiant Dawn.

Sword knights use swords, so they can attack from adjacent spaces. They have useful stats in all categories, and their high movement lets them move around quickly, although they cannot cross certain terrain. Since they have low resistance, like other physical classes, they are often vulnerable to magic-using enemies.

In Path of Radiance, sword knights can promote to paladins. In Radiant Dawn, they change class to the Blade Paladin class and can promote again to the Gold Knight class.
