The Summoner (Japanese: 召喚士サマナー Summoner) is an advanced magical class which was introduced in Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones. Summoners are practitioners of dark magic who, in addition to their offensive magic and ability to use staves, have the unique ability to summon creatures to come to their aid or that of their allies.

In their debut appearance in The Sacred Stones, Summoners are found only among playable units as one of two class change options for the Shaman class. Statistically they are comparable, if slightly inferior, to the other Shaman class change option, the Druid, but while Druids have access to more weapon types, Summoners have near-exclusive access to the Summon skill, allowing them to summon Phantoms to assist the player's army.

The class's second and final appearance so far is in Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn, as an enemy-only third-tier advanced class. The only Summoner in the game is Izuka, the boss of Part 4 Chapter 5. Rather than summoning phantom warriors, Izuka instead summons Feral Ones to defend him, summoning up to four such laguz per turn.
