Speed/Defense Ruse Icon of the Spd/Def Ruse 1 skill in Heroes. If a Rally Assist skill is used by unit or targets unit, inflicts Spd/Def-1 and [Guard] on foes in cardinal directions of unit and target through their next actions.

Speed/Defense Ruse (Japanese: 速さ守備の大共謀 Great Speed/Defense Conspiracy) is a three-tiered passive type B skill which debuted in Fire Emblem Heroes; the individual tiers of the skill are known as Spd/Def Ruse 1, Spd/Def Ruse 2, and Spd/Def Ruse 3 in order from lowest to highest. Units with a Spd/Def Ruse skill, when the user is either the user or recipient of a rally assist skill, drastically drops both the Speed and Defense of enemies in cardinal directions of both allies involved through their following actions and inflicts the Guard status on those same enemies, slowing their special cooldown per attack by -1; the size of the Speed and Defense drops are affected by the skill's tier.
