The Slim Lance (Japanese: 細身の槍 Slim Lance) is a basic lance which was introduced in Fire Emblem: Mystery of the Emblem. It is a weak but lightweight weapon designed as an alternative to the regular Iron Lance for units with low constitution stats, as its lack of weight keeps the penalties on the user's attack speed to a minimum. It is usually found in the possession of low-leveled female lance-wielders, particularly Pegasus Knights, to alleviate their low constitution and give them a better chance to fight and gain the experience and stats needed to successfully use heavier lances. However, once these units have overcome this hurdle and gained enough speed, the Slim Lance's low might makes its continued use unfavorable when there are stronger lances available.

Trivia
- Despite being unused in that game, the Slim Lance in Radiant Dawn has fully-featured help text ("A lightweight lance that's easy to wield. It has a slightly improved chance to land a critical hit."). As most unused items in Radiant Dawn have placeholder help text (Warp Powder, for example), this suggests that the Slim Lance was cut from the game's final weapon roster very late in development.
- The Slim Lance does not appear in Fire Emblem: New Mystery of the Emblem despite appearing in the original due to the removal of weapon weight. However, there is an unused item sprite for it.
