This page has been marked as a stub. Please help improve the page by adding information. |
Skill (Japanese: 技 Skill), known as Dexterity (Dex) in Three Houses, is the stat that defines the unit's hit rate and also their critical hit rate. In Fire Emblem: Genealogy of the Holy War, Fire Emblem: Thracia 776, Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance, Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn, Fire Emblem Awakening, Fire Emblem Fates, and Fire Emblem: Three Houses it is used to calculate the activation rate of many offensive skills such as Aether or Sol. Items such as the Secret Book increase the unit's skill permanently.

Staff Accuracy
In Thracia 776, skill affects a staff user's hit rate. This applies for all staves, including healing and status staves.

Trivia
- Early English screenshots of Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia indicated skill on the stat screen as "TEC", like the Japanese version. This was changed later in development of the translation; the final game shows "SKILL" on the stat screen.
- In the three Japanese Game Boy Advance Fire Emblem prototypes (0205, 0219, and The Sacred Stones), skill is known as "Tech" in some debug-related functions.
- Prior to Fire Emblem: Three Houses, Skill was the only stat in the Fire Emblem series whose name was not abbreviated the English main series games. Luck was not abbreviated in Fire Emblem: The Blazing Blade or The Sacred Stones, but was abbreviated from Path of Radiance onward. As it is called "Dexterity" in Three Houses' English release, it is abbreviated to "Dex".
- However, Skill was abbreviated to "Skl" in Tokyo Mirage Sessions ♯FE and Fire Emblem Warriors.
