First game

Fire Emblem: Mystery of the Emblem

The Silver Axe (Japanese: 銀の斧 Silver Axe) is a rare basic axe which was introduced in Fire Emblem: Mystery of the Emblem and is present in every game since apart from Echoes: Shadows of Valentia. It is the last and strongest in the line of basic axes, surpassing the Iron and Steel Axes in might, but it requires a high weapon rank to use, and is much more expensive and usually has much lower durability than its weaker counterparts.

Trivia

  • Although there are no axe-wielding playable units at all in Book 2 of Mystery of the Emblem, the player still receives Silver Axes somewhat regularly in it. These axes are meant to be sold for a decent sum of money.
