Appearance(s)

Fire Emblem Fates

The day Kohga fell to Mokushu, almost all of my people were slaughtered. I was a child... Chased from my homeland and separated from the other survivors. Even as a refugee, I was denied entry to Hoshido. So I wound up in Nohr. I was exiled and alone. My only choice was to steal or die. You can guess what I chose. I've been here ever since, searching for others like me and trying to stay afloat...
— Shura, narrating his past.

Shura (Japanese: アシュラ Asyura) is a character in Fire Emblem Fates. The Hoshidan-born leader of a Nohrian band of thieves, having formerly lived in the now-ruined Duchy of Kohga and formerly served royalty, Shura keeps low by disguising himself as a common crook. Shura is playable in all three routes of Fates.

Quotes

Battle quotes

It's nothing personal. But we've got to eat, you know? If only you'd given me that lovely sword...we could have avoided all this.
— Shura, as the boss of Birthright Chapter 22.
Now that you've found me, I have no choice but to defeat you all! Say good-bye to your men, your war chest, and this ship!
— Shura, as the boss of Conquest Chapter 16.
Damn it... Are you here to see the sage, too? Nothing personal. but I can't have you getting in my way. I have goals, and anyone who gets in my way will be knocked aside!.
— Shura, as an enemy if fought in Revelation Chapter 15.
Shura: Heh... So you're the daimyo of Mokushu, eh? We finally meet.
Kotaro: Who are you? I don't know any generic pirates.
Shura: I am Shura, of Kohga. And you will pay for destroying my people!
Kotaro: Aw, so you came here to get revenge? That's precious. I've killed dozens of men like you. Lowly drifters without a home. Don't even bother. Like your pathetic kingdom, you don't stand a chance.
Shura: Killing you will be no bother at all. In fact, I'm looking forward to it. And one day I will rebuild Kohga and undo the damage you caused!
Kotaro: HA! That's rich. I killed all your people. Burned your village to the ground. All of your ninja combined weren't enough to stop me. Yet you think you alone can kill me?! HAHAHAHA!
Shura: We'll see how funny it is when you're begging for mercy. You took everything from me. Before I rebuild, allow me to return the favor.
Kotaro: Ah, a lovely dream. Let that dream comfort you in your last moments. The last remnant of Kohga ends here!
Shura: For my friends and family...for my honor and vengeance...FOR KOHGA!

— Shura fighting Kotaro in Conquest Chapter 17.

My Castle quotes

Lord/Lady Corrin, you remembered what today was? That's...quite nice, actually.
— upon being given an accessory Shura likes on his birthday

Death/retreat quotes

Went down fighting...
— Shura's defeat voice clip.
This is getting hairy... I think I ought to fall back for a while.
— Shura's defeat quote in Casual Mode.
Seems about right...about what I deserve...
— Shura's death quote in Classic Mode.
You guys...aren't mere travellers...are you?
— Shura's defeat quote in Birthright Chapter 22.
You're stronger...than expected...
— Shura's defeat quote in Conquest Chapter 16.
No... Damn it. I was so close... If only I could... see Kohga... one last time.
— Shura's death quote in Revelation Chapter 15.
