Revision as of 02:56, 21 July 2017
It has been proposed that this page be split into Shining Bow and Radiant Bow. Please discuss this change on the talk page or on Discord. Reason: The shining is an improvement over standard range, while the radiant is worse than standard range; this different function makes it a different case than the Horseslayer and Ridersbane/Knight Killer. |

The Shining Bow (Japanese: シャイニングボウ Shining Bow) or Radiant Bow (Japanese: 光の弓 Light Bow) is a bow debuting in Fire Emblem Fates. It is a magic bow and, not counting the unused Bright Bow from Path of Radiance, is the first magic bow to be made available in the Fire Emblem series. Its attacks are fuelled by the unit's magic stat and target the foe's resistance, instead of strength and defense. In Fates, it also allows its user to attack from both the traditional range of bows as well as from melée range, but conversely it is unable to deal critical hits and also prevents the user's offensive skills from activating; Echoes: Shadows of Valentia, on the other hand, allows it to deal critical hits and activate offensive skills, but cannot reach the full range of most of that game's bows.
