Shield Session (Japanese: 盾のセッション Shield Session) is a three-tiered passive type A skill which debuted in Fire Emblem Heroes; the individual tiers of the skill are Shield Session 1, Shield Session 2, and Shield Session 3 in order from lowest to highest. Shield Session boosts the Defense and Resistance of its user during target-initiated combat based on how many enemy units have already acted during the turn; higher tiers provide higher boosts.
