{{merge|Light Priestess|reason="[''Genealogy'' Shaman has] the same Japanese name and the class more closely fits the description and mechanical purposes of the ''Radiant Dawn'' incarnation (being the exclusive class of a major, white-haired female character which uses light magic and staves). I <nowiki>[</nowiki>{{user|ArthurThomas}}<nowiki>]</nowiki> feel like both of the classes that use light magic and staves would be more appropriate sharing a page [as opposed to the Jugdral incarnation and GBA incarnations sharing a distinct page from the Tellius incarnation] since [the light magic Jugdral class, dark magic GBA class, and light magic Tellius class] all share the same Japanese name and the Tellius class seems to outright be the same version of this class, as opposed to the distinct, dark magical GBA version." (This merge only applies for the ''Genealogy of the Holy War'' version of the class)}}

----
The '''Shaman''' (Japanese: {{hover|シャーマン|Shāman}} ''Shaman'') is a [[Magic (element)|magical]] [[class]] which was introduced in {{FE4}}. In their original appearance, Shamans are a female-exclusive class which wields [[light (magic)|light magic]] and [[Staff|staves]]. While they are very frail, they possess the high [[magic (stat)|magic]] and [[resistance]] of traditional healers, giving them good healing proficiency as well as the ability to defend themselves, particularly with [[Nosferatu]]. Aside from [[Deirdre]], who is unable to promote, Shamans [[Class change|promote]] to the [[Sage]] class. While Shamans do not technically exist in the following game, {{FE5}}, that game has the virtually identical [[Cleric]] class.
