Beginning log
Ephraim's Route only:
Ephraim's sister is in danger. Grado's General Caellach has attacked Jehanna Hall, forcing its surrender. Though Eirika and her troops have left the Hall, Grado's forces pursue them relentlessly. Trapped in the burning desert, enemy forces close in on them from all sides. With no time to wait for Frelia's troops, Ephraim leaves for Jehanna immediately. He must go to his sister's aid.

Trivia
- This chapter contains the only obtainable Sleep staff in Eirika's route of The Sacred Stones, though actually getting it requires that the troubadour breaks her Mend staff, which is quite difficult.
- This chapter also contains the only obtainable Berserk staff in Ephraim's route of The Sacred Stones, and also requires that the troubadour breaks her Mend staff.
- The above two issues are only present in the localized version, as in the Japanese version the status-inflicting staves are the only thing present in those unit's inventories.
