Kranion will immediately begin charging the player’s army. She is very difficult to damage, and she is able to use powerful breath attacks. She will leave on turn 5. The most reliable way to ensure she doesn’t reach the player’s army is to have Katri use the Ring of Salia to transform into Neuron. Neuron can tank Kranion’s attacks, and they will be unable to damage each other.
It should be noted that Kranion, while very powerful, is in fact defeatable. A max-Magic Sage under the influence of Magic Staff does 2 damage with Sylpheed; since both potential Sages at this point (Maruju and Alicia) have Continuation and Charge, with enough procs of those skills, it is possible to get enough hits onto Kranion to bring her down before turn 5, when she leaves. The only rewards for bringing her down are bragging rights and triggering the event that makes her leave earlier than normal, making it possible to clear the map sooner since you no longer have to wait to turn 5 for Kranion to leave on her own.
After Kranion leaves, or if the player manages to reduce her to 0 HP, a large number of enemy units will appear and begin charging your army.
However, on turn 6, Sennet and his army will appear. They are all extremely overlevelled and have powerful weapons, many of which are effective against the many monsters. The NPCs can very easily decimate the enemy forces on their own, but that can deprive your army of valuable experience. Make sure to have Alicia talk to Alfred to obtain the Sylpheed tome, and to have Samson talk to Katrina to obtain a Master Axe.
