A magic sword that restores HP to the wielder in the amount of half of the damage it inflicts.

Sword

First game

Fire Emblem: The Binding Blade

The Runesword (Japanese: ルーンソード Runesword) is a sword introduced in Fire Emblem: The Binding Blade. It is a magic sword which casts the Nosferatu spell, draining the enemy's HP to heal the wielder, and it targets the enemy's resistance stat and, in Path of Radiance, is fuelled by the wielder's magic. Like Nosferatu, the magic type which the Runesword counts as varies between appearances - it acts as dark magic in the Game Boy Advance trilogy, and as light magic in Path of Radiance.
