“ | I chose to stay because I'm worried about my sister. [...] But she's still a child. I'm sure she's just being manipulated. She should understand if I talk to her. | ” | — Reinhardt, on Olwen joining Leif's army |
---|
Reinhardt (Japanese: ラインハルト Reinhardt) is a boss appearing in Fire Emblem: Thracia 776. He is the general of Friege's Gelb Ritter, and the elder brother of the mage knight Olwen.
Fire Emblem: Thracia 776
Role
Reinhardt is first mentioned by Largo in Chapter 10; Largo says that Kempf is jealous of Reinhardt's fame and that Kempf takes it out on Olwen. Reinhardt himself appears to not see Kempf as a rival at all, furthering Kempf's frustration at Reinhart's continued obliviousness towards the supposed rivalry.
Reinhardt makes his first in-person appearance in Chapter 17A; his forces are hounding Leif's from the rear during their assault on Leonster's Gate. Reinhardt arrives later with Ishtar and speaks to Saias, informing him that Julius has fallen ill and needs treatment immediately. Reinhardt, Saias, and Ishtar all retreat to aid Julius.
Reinhardt also appears in Chapter 20. He is present to speak with Baraat in regards to fighting Leif's forces. Reinhardt expresses concern that Leif's forces and other rebellions in the region are taking too long to stop, and politely recommends that he make haste lest they face the mounting disapproval of Bloom. Baraat agrees without complaint. Reinhart comments that Bloom's foul mood has likely been supplemented by the recent death of his son Ishtore. After reaffirming that Baraat must end the battle quickly, as he will likely be needed elsewhere, Reinhardt leaves.
Reinhardt is later mentioned in Chapter 21x. Julius, jealous of the close relationship Ishtar and Reinhardt share, informs Ishtar that if Reinhardt enters his sight again he will be killed. Ishtar reluctantly agrees, not wishing to lose her long time protector, and has Reinhardt stay behind as they leave for other parts of the continent.
Reinhardt's final appearance, and his appearance as a boss, is in Chapter 22. When questioned why he is still in the region by Saias he answers that he is concerned for his currently missing sister and he has no need to follow Queen Ishtar as his duties as her bodyguard have been relinquished. Saias sympathetically informs Reinhardt that Olwen may be with Leif's forces of her own volition, to which Reinhardt says that he still wants to try speaking with her.
During the battle Olwen can talk to Reinhardt in Chapter 22 to acquire the Blessed Sword, the second of her two personal weapons. If they speak, Reinhardt initially attempts to convince Olwen to leave with him but she refuses. Olwen wishes to rescue the children imprisoned in Friege. After making further pleas, citing that Olwen is his one and only sister, Reinhardt accepts her determination. Reinhardt then gives her the Blessed Sword. Olwen questions this, as it is a treasured gift from Ishtar; he replies that he no longer has any need for it and mournfully warns her that if he is approached again he will attack.
In the ensuing battle Reinhardt is either captured or killed by Leif's forces depending on the player's actions. Either way, he makes no further appearances.

Fire Emblem Heroes
Role
There are two different variations of Reinhardt available to Heroes, both of which are tied to his storyline appearance in Thracia 776. The normal variation of Reinhardt is one of the characters added to the game in the Sibling Bonds update, and became available for summoning by players on February 27, 2017. A second variation of Reinhardt, here dubbed the "World of Thracia" variation after the name of the summoning event he debuted in for lack of a theme common to most other variant characters, was made available on April 11, 2017 as part of the summoning event surrounding the launch of the Snow and Ash update.
