The Rapier is a sword-type weapon in the Fire Emblem series, first appearing in Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon & the Blade of Light and appearing in every game set in the Archanean/Ylissean world and Elibe as well as Thracia 776, The Sacred Stones, and Echoes: Shadows of Valentia; it does not appear in Gaiden, the Tellius duology, and Fates. This sword is quite unique because, in every appearance except Thracia 776 and Echoes, it can be only wielded by certain characters of noble descent; it is the personal weapon of Marth, Roy, Eliwood and Eirika, as well as a class weapon for the Lord tree in Awakening.
Fairly light and accurate yet somewhat weak, this weapon deals extra damage against armored and mounted units.
