— Raigh, to Niime.
Raigh (Japanese: レイ Lleu) is the son of Nino of the Black Fang, and the twin brother of Lugh. After his parents disappeared in his infancy as a result of pursuing bounty hunters, he and Lugh were entrusted an orphanage in Araphen, where they were raised. At the onset of the Disturbance of Bern, Raigh left the orphanage in order to master his skill in dark magic.
Having left the Araphen orphanage some time ago, Raigh had travelled to the Western Isles, where he was masquerading as an Etrurian soldier at Jutes in order to observe Ein, a "human yet not human" of whom he had heard rumors. During an assault on Jutes led by Roy, Raigh was reunited with Lugh and Chad, who convinced him to ally with Roy.

Personality and character
Unlike his blithe and innocent twin brother, Lugh, Raigh seems to be very mordant, gloomy, and rude to others. He shows plenty of disrespect to people he meets, including elders, as seen in his support conversation with Niime, an elderly druid. He does not even show much politeness to women, including Sophia, a female shaman and prophet. Nor does he show any respect to those of nobility or high authority. He also shows to be very cynical, in both how he talks and in philosophy. When Lugh tells him that he should try to be more sociable, Raigh, in response, calls him out on his naivete. Raigh is also humored when he steals Hugh's Nosferatu tome, and he constantly fools him into letting him keep it. He does this through excuses which even he regards to as "lame," and is amused by Hugh's gullibility. In addition, if he dies in gameplay, his last words describe how the world is filled with nothing but fools.
As an experienced shaman, Raigh takes the dark arts very seriously, and plans on bringing it back to people's recognition across Elibe. When the war began, he had left the orphanage where he, Chad, and Lugh had lived in without a word, having been fed up with the deteriorating conditions of the orphanage, although it turns out he did leave a note briefly explaining how he left to train himself in the dark arts. He is incredibly eager to learn the dark arts and master them, as seen in his support conversations with Niime, where he claims he would do anything to get her to teach him dark magic, even if it means apologizing.
Although Raigh is clearly snide and disrespectful, some people, including Chad, Sophia, and his brother Lugh, believe that despite his gloomy demeanor, he really is very kind and lighthearted on the inside. After him and Chad meet up with Roy, as their support conversations suggest, Raigh comments on how Chad, despite Roy praising their work and for everything they've done so far, kept on deeming himself and his skills as a thief as merely unimportant. Ray tells him that he should be proud of his work as a thief, as he is doing something only he can do. This begins to lead Chad to conclude that Raigh, although rude on the outside, is really a good person on the inside, although he denies it. In his support conversations with Sophia, Sophia gives him an extremely rare dark tome that Raigh had wanted for a long time, but he becomes concerned when she says that he can have it, since she might need it herself. However, Sophia later explains to him that the reason she gave Raigh the dark tome was because it was a gift to him, as she believes that Raigh is golden-hearted inside. He even claims he is willing to apologize to Niime to get him to teach him dark magic, and later thanks her for doing so.

Raigh, Child of Darkness
Raigh traveled around the world, honing his dark magic skills. Although dark magic had been all but forgotten, Raigh's efforts brought it back to people's awareness again. He was known for being hard on both himself and others, but for some reason he was generous towards deprived children.

- "Niime: Well? How's your studying going?
Niime: Hm... Don't even have time to talk, eh? You're a rude one, and you don't know how to respect your elders." — Niime and Raigh's A support, Fire Emblem: The Binding Blade
- "Raigh: Hey, you over there!
Raigh: Hey! Can you not hear me, or are you just ignoring me?
Sophia: ...Uh... ...Me?
Raigh: Is there anyone else here? Geez, are you deaf, or just plain stupid?
Sophia: ......" — Raigh and Sophia's C support, Fire Emblem: The Binding Blade
- "Chad: Roy...I mean Master Roy wants to see us.
Raigh Like I care.
Chad: Y-You idiot! Don't say such things in such a loud voice! That Merlinus guy'll be after us again!
Raigh: What, are you afraid that old geezer?
Chad: I sure am. He and Master Roy are both nobles.
Raigh: Haha, so little Chad'll go bowing down to power?" — Chad and Raigh's C support, Fire Emblem: The Binding Blade
- "Lugh: Oh, one more thing. You should at least respond when you're spoken to! With me it's fine, but you shouldn't act like that with strangers. People are going misjudge you for being antisocial or something.
Raigh: Misjudge, huh? ...Yeah, whatever. My good ol' brother seems to be as naive as ever." — Lugh and Raigh's C support, Fire Emblem: The Binding Blade
- "Raigh: You're a mage. What's the point in you having a Nosferatu tome?
Hugh: Erg... That's not the point...
Raigh: A powerful spell that could be put to use in battle would be wasting away in your hands. Who would be responsible if we lost a battle because we didn't use it?
Hugh: Er... F-Fine, I'll let you have it for now. But you're going to give it back to me with interest, you hear!?
Raigh: Hmph, what an idiot. How can he be fooled by such a lame excuse? I have yet to understand such blatant stupidity." — Raigh and Hugh's B support, Fire Emblem: The Binding Blade
- "Raigh: Hn. In the world... There are only fools..." — Raigh's death quote, Fire Emblem: The Binding Blade
- "Lugh: I was worried if you were still here or not. You know...the first time you left, you just left a note and suddenly disappeared. I was worried that you might just walk off again without saying anything...
Lugh: Your note said, 'I want to train my Dark magic skills on my own.' Was I...in the way? You didn't want me around...?
Raigh: N-No, that's not the case... I was planning on going back home once I gained enough power as a Shaman." — Lugh and Raigh's B support, Fire Emblem: The Binding Blade
- "Raigh: ... I... I want you to teach me your dark magic. Teach me all of it!
Niime: Hm... Boy, is that how you ask people for favors?
Raigh: ... I'll change my tone if you don't like it. If you want me to bow my head to the ground and apologize, I'll do it. So please, teach me your dark magic!" — Raigh and Niime's B support, Fire Emblem: The Binding Blade
- "Raigh: You're still stealing and stuff, huh.
Chad: ! I've got no choice, all right? I can't use magic like you. All I can do for this army is to pick locks and go gather information...
Raigh: Well, it's pretty good if you can do that much.
Raigh: You know, the other day when we had go see that Roy person... He said that he appreciated the work of us, who are close to his age. But you were constantly bowing down and saying that you never did anything important.
Raigh: You're doing something that only you can do. Then why don't you be proud of it? You look like an idiot, always putting yourself down like that." — Raigh and Chad's B support, Fire Emblem: The Binding Blade
- "Chad: I'll go pick up the little ones first. Then I'll try and get some money to rebuild the orphanage...
Raigh: Then I'll go with you. I can help out until the little kids settle down.
Chad: ... I thought so.
Chad: You're actually a good guy deep down inside.
Chad: Lugh always used to say that you were kind. I used to think that he was trying to defend you as your brother, but I guess not. He's your brother all right, he knows how you really are.
Raigh: ... You're just as naive as Lugh! Say what you want! I'm going!
Chad: Ha, there's no need to get embarrassed... Hey! Wait! Don't walk off for real!" — Chad and Raigh's A support, Fire Emblem: The Binding Blade
- "Raigh: I'm giving this spell book back to you.
Sophia: ... What? ... Why...?
Raigh: I don't need things to be given to me. I'm not a beggar.
Sophia: ... Yes... ... But... I wanted to give it... to you...
Raigh: What? Why?
Sophia: ... Because... You are a good person...
Sophia: ... You always act strong... ... But... you actually have a kind heart... So... I wanted to give it to you..." — Sophia and Raigh's A support, Fire Emblem: The Binding Blade
- "Niime: Now come... Come into the depths of darkness... Of course, you're going to have to study that book first.
Raigh: ... ... Thank you.
Niime: Hm? What was that?
Raigh: ... Nothing." — Raigh and Niime's A support, Fire Emblem: The Binding Blade
