Houses and Villages

Houses

  • Old man: There were three great bishops in this land. Miloah, the Master of Aura. Gharnef, The Dark Pontifex. And Gotoh, the White Sage. But now that Miloah has been defeated, no one can stand up to Gharnef.
  • Old man: The levin sword… It is said that they who wield it can loose lightning that will crush even heavy armor.

Recruiting Maria

Maria: Ah… You must be Prince Marth! (Wow! He's so dashing!) Thank you for saving me! You have to tell my older sister that I am safe! She must be worried… One other thing… I would like to join you, Prince. Let me stay by your side! Oh, please don't say no!
(Maria joins)

Recruiting Minerva

Minerva: Greetings, Prince Marth. I am Minerva of Macedon. For saving Maria, you have my thanks. I had no choice but to be your enemy. I regret that very much. Still, many in Macedon do support Dolhr, including my elder brother Michalis. To me, though, Dolhr is responsible for my father's death. I seek revenge for that. I must also worry about my troops, however. Especially the three Whitewings: Palla, Catria, and Est. Dolhr feared our rebellion and separated us. If they knew I was safe, they would happily join your ranks. How I detest Dolhr for trampling Macedon underfoot. Please, allow us to join your fight.
(Minerva joins)

Ending

Nyna: Prince Marth, do you know of the archbishop of Archanea, Miloah?
Marth: I have heard he was a great man and the wielder of Aura, a powerful spell. He protected Archanea. It is my understanding that he fell fighting Gharnef, who has allied with Dolhr.
Nyna: That is so. But he had a daughter named Linde. It is said she inherited the magic of Aura. Unfortunately, we do not know where Linde is now. No one does. I fear that something terrible has befallen her. Please, seek her out. Her father is no more, so we must protect her now. For Archanea's sake!

Introduction

After accepting Catria's requeset, Prince Marth headed to rescue the captive Princess Maria of Macedon. And so, decided to mount an attack on Deil prison. Within the allied army, many suggested it was a trap set by General Minerva. But Prince Marth believed that, in the battle of Lefcandith, he saw a gentle female. And it wasn't the fearful enemy that everybody described. That person had the same expression as his elder sister... A tragic and painful one... From Minerva, Marth saw the figure of his elder sister, Elice, who was still missing after being captured by the Empire in place of him. Princess Maria must be rescued. Then perhaps that person can also be saved... Marth's heart was decided upon this action.
— Chapter 8 Intro

Opening

(Dragoons part as Minerva flies in)
Zharov: Princess Minerva. You abandoned your post. Why have you come back? If you even attempt to betray me here, you can forget about Princess Maria's life. I trust you understand this.
Minerva: ...Yes. I don't plan on opposing you. But please let me see Maria, even for just a short time. She is still just a child. It must be hard for her. General... Please, please let me see Maria.
Zharov: That isn't possible. Princess Maria is an important hostage. If you're worried about her, then stop talking and follow your orders.
(Enemy Cavalier arrives)
Cavalier: General! There's trouble. The rebel army has appeared from the east of Deil prison.
Zharov: What! How would the rebels know to come here!? Damn... Order the Dragoons to charge! And request for reinforcements from the main squadron. Don't let them enter the prison! Crush them before they get near!
Minerva: Prince Marth...
(Enemies assume formation)

Houses

  • Man: Snipers are skilled bow users. If you carelessly let them get close you could get killed.
  • Old man: Be careful of Ballisticians, near the northern fort. They can attack from faraway.
  • Old man: With a Levin Sword in one's hands, even the thickest of armor can be penetrated with it's lightning bolts...
  • Old man: This world has three great bishops. Archbishop Miloah, Demon King Gharnef, and the legendary Archsage Gotoh. But Miloah died and now there is nobody who can defeat Gharnef.

Killing Maria

Maria: Ah... Minerva, sister...

Minerva: Maria was just a hostage. Why did you... I won't forgive you!!
(Minerva becomes hostile)

Recruiting Maria

Maria: Oh, you are Lord Marth? (Hee, he's so handsome.) Thank you for rescuing me. Please tell my sister that I'm safe. She will definitely be very happy. Also... I would like to aid you, Lord Marth, by your side. Can I?
(Maria joins)

Fighting Minerva

Minerva: I am looking for Prince Marth.*

Killing Minerva

Minerva: Maria...

Recruiting Minverva

Minerva: Greetings, Prince Marth. I am Minerva of Macedon. Thank you for rescuing Maria. We were on opposing sides in the past, but now we no longer need to be enemies. My brother, Michalis, led the majority of Macedon to side with the Dolhr Empire. He was also the cause of my father's death... If possible, I want to defeat him with my own hands. Also, please help me rescue my subordinates. They are the three sisters, Palla, Catria and Est, of the Whitewings. The Dohlr Empire feared they would rebel, so they separated them from my side. But if they knew I was still alive, they would come back for me. The citizens of Macedon are suffering under the Dolhr Empire... Please let us fight together with your highness.
(Minerva joins)

Fighting Zharov

Zharov: Damn! You're all useless. In that case, let me personally take care of them. Die, rebels!!

Killing Zharov

Zharov: The Altean knights... Are strong... So strong...

Ending

Nyna: Prince Marth, do you know about Archanea's Archbishop Miloah?
Marth: Yes. The great bishop who protected Archanea with his Aura tome... He died in battle against Dolhr's ally, the Demon King Gharnef.
Nyna: Yes, well, the bishop had a daughter called Linde. That child inherited his Aura tome. However, after Miloah died, Linde disappeared and her whereabouts are unknown. I hearrd she was sold to the slave market... She must be very sad right now. ...Marth, I beg of you! Please find Linde for me. And protect her, in place of the deceased bishop Miloah.

Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon

Introduction

Not all of the League's soldiers took Catria of the Whitewings at her word. Some insisted her plea was a ruse, a trap concocted by Princess Minerva herself. Marth doubted that, though; he had seen the woman in Lefcandith Valley, and she did not strike him as a sort of conniving menace his followers feared. As the brunt of Grust's might drew closer, Marth led the League to Castle Deil, determined to attack the citadel and rescue the young Macedonian princess, Maria.
— Chapter 10 intro

During battle

Zharov: Princess Minerva, what brings you here? You've left your post: not very wise. Might I remind you, poor conduct on your part could have repercussions on how...comfortable...your sister remains.

Minerva: I am aware of my sister, thank you. ...I did not come to make trouble. Just let me see Maria, for a little while. She's only a child, General. Think of what she must be going through.

Zharov: Impossible, I'm afraid. She is a hostage. If your sister's well-being concerns you, then start following orders.

(Enemy soldier enters)

Enemy Soldier: General! Grave news! The rebel army has been sighted east of Castle Deil!

Zharov: What?! Why in creation would the rebels come here? Blast...Order the Dragoons to sortie! And don't forget to send word to the main army. We need reinforcements!

Minerva: Rebels...? Then Marth has arrived...

Houses and villages

  • Middle-Aged Man: You know, once, there were three great magi in our world: Miloah, the Master of Aura; Gharnef, the Dark Pontifex; and Gotoh, the White Sage. But now Miloah is gone... If only there were somebody left powerful enough to stop Gharnef...
  • Young Man: That Macedonian princess, Minerva... She doesn't seem like a bad sort. I have a sister, too, and if somebody threatened to hurt her... Well, I'm just sayin' you can't always judge people based on their actions.

When recruting Maria

Maria: Oh! You must be Prince Marth! (My, he's so dashing!) ...Thank you for rescuing me. Please be sure to tell my sister I am free. She'll be grateful for the news. Now then. Shall we be off? I'm coming with you, of course.; ...No protesting! I wish to help!

When recruiting Minerva (Must have recruited Maria first)

Minerva: Greetings, Prince Marth. I am Minerva of Macedon. Thank you for saving my sister. Maria's plight forced me to treat you as an enemy when I knew you were not; suffice to say, I am deeply sorry for that. ...The whole world has gone mad. Most of Macedon fights for Dolhr now. My own brother Michalis leads them. And on their hands is the blood of their king, my father. They must be stopped; I must stop them. Still, I fear for my soldiers whom I can no longer protect, especially the three Whitewing sisters: Palla, Catria, and Est. Dolhr worried we would rebel, and forced us to separate. If they knew I was safe, they would join your ranks in a heartbeat. We are yours to command, sire. Let us help you defeat Dolhr, and repay them for sullying Macedon's honor.

Against Zharov

Zharov: Grrr...Must I do everything myself? Bah! You'll not get past me, rebel!

Defeating Zharov

Zharov: They're a force...to be reckoned...with...Rrgh...

Ending

Nyna: Marth, have you ever heard of Pontifex Miloah?

Marth: The one who defended Archanea with the power of Aura? Of course; he and his magic are famous! But...I read Miloah died in a battle with Gharnef, soon after the fiend sold his soul to Dolhr...

Nyna: Alas, Miloah did die... But his daughter, Linde, yet lives. I am told she inherited her father's skill with Aura magic- but since the battle with Gharnef none have seen her. Wherever she is, it cannot be pleasant. ...Marth, please. Find Linde. With her father gone, we are the only family the girl has left.
