“ | We must put an end to this conflict... We must defend those who cannot defend themselves... | ” | — Perceval, to Cecilia. |
---|
Perceval (Japanese: パーシバル Perceval) is the Knight General of Etruria in the era of the Disturbance of Bern. Loyal to Etruria's late Prince Myrrdin above all else, he was cowed into the service of the Revolutionaries following their coup d'etat against King Mordred, complying solely to protect the king until he was convinced to join Roy in fighting the Revolutionaries to free Etruria.
Biography
Following Roy's recapture of Ostia from Legance, Perceval and Cecilia arrived there in response to an earlier request by Ostia for Etrurian protection;[2] there, they confronted Narcian and his forces, who were attempting to threaten Roy into surrendering Ostia, and drove them away. Afterward, Perceval returned to Etruria, leaving Ostia in Cecilia's care.
Later, in the Etrurian coup d'etat led by Arcardo and Roartz, Perceval and Douglas were forced into serving the Revolutionaries through their hostage-taking of King Mordred. In this capacity, Perceval was forced to assist Bern in arresting Cecilia at Missur, and later was deployed to a border fortress in Roy's path toward Aquleia. Upon learning of Myrrdin's continued survival as Elffin, he abandoned Arcardo and Roartz and joined Elffin in Roy's army.
Fire Emblem: The Binding Blade
Role
Perceval is present as an enemy in both Chapters 13 and 15. In Chapter 13, he will leave the map at the end of turn 8 if he is not recruited or killed, and will reappear in Chapter 15 for another chance at recruitment. If he is recruited in Chapter 13, he obviously will not appear as an enemy in Chapter 15.

Analysis
This character analysis section may not be accurate to every player's experience. |
The knight general of Etruria is "the strongest fighter in all of Etruria" said one of Narshen's henchmen. And he truly deserve that title : stellar bases, level 5 with okay growths, awesome weapon ranks, awesome class, awesome haircut.
You can use Perceval from the get go, he will be one of your best units and will stay that way as long as you use him. He's here for the second half of Etruria's arc and for the whole end game after that. You may use him as a legendary weapon user to use one of the weapons you did not plan to have someone use anyway : it's just too easy to get S rank on swords and lances with him. Axes is achievable, albeit needing more planning and he won't have S rank axes before chapter 21 at least.
Perceval is a fantastic unit and will always be a great choice of deployment. He even have high res! Also, all of the points above still stands in hard mode, because he gets whoopings hard mode bonuses.
Fire Emblem Awakening

Perceval is playable as a SpotPass character, released in the The Binding Blade character set. He also appears as an enemy in two downloadable content chapters and as an NPC in a further one DLC chapter, all in the Smash Brethren chapter series.

Personality and character
Considered a paragon of knighthood, Perceval is loyal to his lieges above all else; he complied with the Revolutionaries solely to guaranteed Mordred's continued survival despite his own misgivings.[3] He holds Prince Myrrdin in particular in the highest of esteem, and in the past pledged his loyalty to Myrrdin above all else.[4] Perceval is regarded by fellow general Douglas as the embodiment of Etruria's future, whose survival beyond Etruria's potential fall in the Disturbance of Bern is paramount.[5] Such is his devotion to knighthood that he has trouble enjoying other aspects of life, dismissing Larum's antics as worthless frivolity despite his gratitude for her helping Myrrdin,[6] and expressing no interest in the food he eats according to the cooks serving Roy.[7] In the aftermath of the coup d'etat, Perceval planned to ensure the future safety of the king through purging all but those whom he considered the most loyal to the crown from the Etrurian court.[8]
