Analysis
This character analysis section may not be accurate to every player's experience. |
Mitama joins as a level 10-20 Shrine Maiden and her stats vary depending on her mother; before applying her mother, she has somewhat balanced stats across the board, minus her low defense and mediocre strength before her promotion. While it may be presumed that, as a staff user, Mitama would prefer a magical mother, it's actually quite the opposite—Mitama mainly prefers a physical mother, as she works great as a Priestess due to its extraordinary class bases. The bases of her other promotion option, Onmyoji, just aren't as good; although Onmyoji is meant to be the more magical of the two, it has the same magic base as Priestess. While lowering her magic by giving her a physical mother may seem bad for her rod usage, due to the Fates staff calculation being Mag/3, her magic being lowered doesn't actually affect much. It may not seem like she will do much damage using physical weapons, but she'll work just fine with a forged +2/3 Bronze Yumi.
One great mother for Mitama is Mozu, thanks to Aptitude. It should be mentioned that Aptitude is not applied when an unrecruited unit receives levels to match story progress, so to take advantage of it, Mitama must be recruited early.

Trivia
- Mitama's inventory varies based on her recruit method. Should Mitama be recruited by visiting her village three times with Azama, she will come with a Wane Festal; if recruited earlier along the main story path, Mitama's base D weapon level in rods is insufficient to use the C-rank rod she comes with. The alternate recruitment method, simply clearing the chapter with the village still standing, has Mitama come with the E-rank Bloom Festal instead, for which her weapon level is always sufficient enough for usage.
