Mire (Japanese: スライム Slime) is a magic spell that was introduced in Fire Emblem Gaiden. It summons an explosion of cursed slime to damage its target.
In Gaiden, Mire is a black magic spell with moderate power and no special effect, although its remake, Echoes: Shadows of Valentia, gives it improved range with the ability to strike targets as far as three spaces away from the user. It is available only to enemy units in Gaiden and the base Shadows of Valentia game, although DLC allows it to be legitimately used by the player's army. In Awakening, Mire is a dark tome and the game's only long-range tome.
