Meisterschwert
| ||||
|
The Meisterschwert (Japanese: マスターソード Master Sword) is a rare sword-type found in the Fire Emblem series. In its original appearance in Fire Emblem: Mystery of the Emblem, and again in the DS remake of its second book, it is basically a stronger variation of the Killing Edge. In its only other appearance in Thracia 776, it instead acts as a brave weapon, allowing the unit to double the number of attacks per turn; however, it lacks the extended durability of the similar Brave Sword, which also has a better weight, higher might and even a lower weapon level, although it does have a higher critical rate than the Brave Sword. Its appearance in Heroes is based on its Thracia 776 version; here, it is the personal weapon of the "Thunder's Sword" variant of Reinhardt.

Meisterschwert |
German for "master sword". Presumably used to connect with the German names used for the knight brigades of Grannvale; Reinhardt is a general of the Gelb Ritter of Friege. Alternatively, it may be to differentiate it from the sword from The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past and other Zelda games. |
