Malevolent Text (Japanese: 古びた書物 Old Book) is a scroll introduced in Fire Emblem Fates, existing outside the primary scroll hierarchy of Hoshido; this is despite its Japanese name potentially implying it to instead be a tome. The Malevolent Text is a low-level high-risk high-return weapon: low accuracy, lowered Avoid, and harder to launch a double-attack, but with respectable might for its rank, a small critical rate, and a boost in Skill.
