The Luna (Japanese: 月光 Moonlight) is a weapon first appearing in Fire Emblem Gaiden. In Gaiden, it is a lance which is an extremely rare random drop from fiends. It has the special effect of negating terrain bonuses of the opposing units, which combined with the weapon's very high hit rate makes it sure to hit enemies. In Fire Emblem Awakening, it is a regalia lance with the effect of granting its wielder the Luna skill. In Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia, it no longer has the effect of negating enemy terrain bonuses. Using it enough times unlocks a combat art known as Lunar Flash, which costs ten HP to use but increases damage output by twelve, hit rate by a massive five hundred, and critical rate by ten. It is obtained by evolving certain Rusted Bows.
