In the Imperial Year 747, Loog raised an army against the Adrestian Empire, demanding independence for northern half of the continent which would later be known as the Holy Kingdom of Faerghus and the Leicester Alliance, respectively. Due to the empire's refusal to accept their independence, a war broke out. The war would later be known as the War of the Eagle and Lion.

In the Imperial Year 751, Loog's army emerged victorious in a battle at the Tailtean Plains due to the Church of Seiros stepping in and legitimising the demands of the rebellion. In consequence, the Holy Kingdom of Faerghus was founded and Loog was crowned its king.

Legacy

In the present-day Fódlan, Loog is known by the title of "King of Lions", and his life is the subject of many books. One book, titled Loog and the Maiden of Wind, is a part of certain support conversations in Fire Emblem: Three Houses and Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes
