The Lockpick (Japanese: とうぞくのかぎ Thief's Key), known as the Master Key in Shadow Dragon and the Blade of Light, is a uncommon item in the Fire Emblem series. Its only purpose is to enable thieves and other similar classes to open any kind of locks—doors, chests, and bridges—in the games where they cannot do this naturally.
This item has been present in five games of the series: Shadow Dragon & the Blade of Light, Thracia 776, The Binding Blade, The Blazing Blade, and The Sacred Stones.

Trivia
- In Shadow Dragon, the Master Key is internally referred to as "THIEFKEY", possibly meaning that the Lockpick was originally intended to appear.
- Even though it is called "Master Key" in the game, the physical manual included with the 30th Anniversary Edition refers to it as the "Lockpick" ("Crochet" in the French section), its name from the GBA games, in the items list. However, the "Master Key" ("Passepartout") name is used in the terrain list in the description of the Door and Drawbridge in both the physical and digital manuals.
