  • The Secret Shops in the main story had their inventories reworked with some stat boosting items not available anymore.
  • Enemies on Easy Mode and Hard Mode are effectively 2 levels weaker.
  • Fomortiis is initially equipped with Demon Light instead of Ravager in the Final Chapter.

Graphics

  • The flickering of the Silencer skill was changed from red to purple.

Chapter and boss changes

File:Ss fe8 riev japanese stats ch 20.png
Screenshot of Riev's Chapter 20 appearance in the Japanese release of The Sacred Stones.
  • Pablo and Riev in their second encounters were changed to keep the stats they had during their first encounter instead of receiving a boost like in the Japanese release.
  • Several bosses had their stats and levels increased, and some enemy levels were increased.
Joshua attacking Natasha in the japanese version.
  • In the Japanese version of The Sacred Stones Joshua will attack and kill Natasha while he is an enemy during chapter 5 if she is in range. This was changed in the NTSC-U and the PAL releases where he does not attack her even if she is in range.

Dialogue changes

This section has been marked as a stub. Please help improve the page by adding information.

  • In the Japanese version, Joshua tells Artur that Artur has won 15 times and lost 16 times out of 21 matches. Not only do the sum of winning and losing numbers not match to the number of matches, but Joshua even tells Artur that they are roughly even. The English version fixes this by having Joshua tell Artur that Artur has won 11 out of 21 matches.
  • In the Japanese version, the support set for Garcia and Dozla involved them drinking alcohol and getting drunk. This was changed in the localization where they instead end up trying out many different weapons and end up hurting themselves in amusing ways.[1]
  • There is a typo in Neimi and Gilliam's A Support. Neimi talks about Cormag when instead she should be referring to Colm. This error was caused due to Cormag being written similar to "Coma", which is Colm's Japanese name.
  • In Kyle and Syrene’s C Support, there is a typo where Kyle refers to Syrene as Selena. Syrene and Selena's names are pretty similar, which explains the names getting mixed-up.
  • In the Japanese version, there is a typo in Syrene and Tana's B support conversation where Syrene refers to Tana as Syrene. This was corrected in the NTSC-U and PAL versions of the game.

Items

Since no distribution events were ever run for NTSC-U or PAL releases, the following items became completely inaccessible in gameplay. All of them can still be accessed through cheat devices and still function properly.

NTSC-U to PAL changes

Unless otherwise stated, all changes made between the NTSC-J and NTSC-U releases are retained in the PAL version, excluding names.

  • In Gilliam and Garcia’s C Support, Garcia calls Gilliam “Garcia” during the part where Garcia challenges Gilliam to arm-wrestle him. This same typo appeared in the Japanese version, the NTSC localization did not fix this, though the PAL version corrected this.
