As Marth and his men descend upon Gra Bastion, King Jiol requests reinforcements from Dolhr, but is disappointed and horrified to learn he is only receiving Macedonian pegasus knights. His fears prove to be well-founded, and Marth cuts down Jiol and avenges his father's death. In the aftermath, Marth cannot find Falchion. Malledus reports that Gharnef is currently in possession of the holy blade, and Marth reluctantly elects to pursue him to Khadein to retrieve it.

Strategy
This section details unofficial strategies that may help with completion of the chapter. This may not work for everybody.
|
In this chapter, you get the Pegasus Knights Palla and Catria. Their bases are rather questionable for their join time, but they both have pretty good growths and the next chapter is good for getting them up to snuff. When the chapter starts, your immediate priorities are picking off the enemy Ballistician near the starting point and killing the Fortify Curate over to the west with an artillery barrage. If you have a Thief or appropriate key, you can unlock the drawbridge and proceed directly south; if not, you're taking the long way west around the fort area. Marth and some bodyguards should take the long way anyway since there's a village with a Thoron tome that way. Your next big concern is the Thieves gunning for the treasure on the south side of the map; if you don't catch up to them by about turn 9, they'll make off with your precious Bullion. The real prize down there is the Silver Card, which gives you half off at any shop. The final issue is the Pegasus Knights who spawn on the west edge of the map. Fortunately, your Generals should make quick work of them. Jiol is a fairly standard General boss, and you shouldn't have too much trouble putting him down with mages, but if you really want to do it in style, have Marth gut the dirty father-killer.
Trivia
- Despite enemies having their Killer weaponry forged as standard issue on H5 difficulty at this point of the game, Jiol wields an ordinary unforged Killer Bow.
- This map is reused for Chapter 17 of Fire Emblem: Mystery of the Emblem Book II.
