Though we may be enemies, I commend your bravery, warriors of Askr. You have led quite the chase... But for now, you may rest. Ultimately, you cannot triumph. You may claw out small victories... But our forces are too large. You must surrender. Submit quietly and you will not be harmed. I swear it.

— Laegjarn
|
Laegjarn (Japanese: レーギャルン Laegjarn) is a princess of Múspell first appearing in Book II of Fire Emblem Heroes.
Role
Laegjarn is the elder of Surtr's two known children, and has been tasked with governing a region of Nifl. In contrast to her father's sadistic personality, Laegjarn treats the people of Nifl with respect, and appears to only fight against the Order of Heroes on her father's orders.
She first appears in part 5 of Book II, where she first encounters the Order of Heroes and demanding they surrender; upon their refusal, she engages them in battle. After the battle ends, after Laegjarn admits defeat and leaves sight of the Order of Heroes, she then talks Laevatein out of killing herself and mulling over the Order of Heroes's motive for opposing Múspell, then crafts a plan to attempt to cut off the Order of Heroes before they can reach advantageous ground.

Unlike her father, Laegjarn is an honorable woman who is noted to have governed the occupied Nifl with respect. She is very wise as she anticipated the Order of Heroes intentionally leaving deluding trails. Laegjarn also shows care towards her younger sister Laevatein, and would risk her life to protect her from harm.
