The Kodachi (Japanese: 小太刀 Kodachi) is a katana that debuted in Fire Emblem Fates. It is an enhanced-range weapon with the ability to strike at both 1 and 2 range. However, its range comes with numerous drawbacks, as using this weapon bars its user from double-attacking and also makes them more vulnerable to being double-attacked. Its might and accuracy are also worse than those of the Iron Katana.

Compared to tachi, kodachi measure less than 24 inches/60cm, but they share the distinct curved blade of the tachi. While their exact purpose is uncertain, it is known that kodachi were in use prior to the 13th century.
