Fire Emblem: The Blazing Blade
Role
Lyn's tale
Kent appears in Chapter 1, along with his more relaxed friend and cavalier partner Sain. The two are in the town of Bulgar on a mission. Sain tries unsuccessfully to court Lyn, and she walks away. She returns and asks Kent to move his horse so she can cross the road, he complies; she compliments him on his good manners, but when he states that he believes he has seen her before, she takes this as an attempt to flirt and angrily walks off. Kent scolds Sain, and states that she may be their mission.
Lyn is attacked by by bandits, and Kent and Sain ride up to save her. After the battle is over, Kent explains that he and Sain were traveling up to the Sacae plains from Lycia for a mission as messengers to Madelyn, the marquess of Caelin's daughter, who had left the castle and eloped with a nomad years ago. The marquess presumed them dead, but when he received a letter stating that they were living happily on the plains, he wanted to see them. The two knights had learned that Madelyn had died days after sending the letter; however, they found that her daughter Lyndis was still alive. Kent recognized Lyn in the town with a great resemblance to her mother, seen in castle portraits.
Lyn reminisces about how she thought she would never hear "Lyndis" again when she remembers that one of the bandits had called her Lyndis. Sain deduces that he must have been hired by Lundgren, the younger brother of the marquess, and explains that, as the next heir, Lyn's life is in danger. Kent suggests that she ride with them to Caelin to stay alive and to meet her grandfather, and she accepts.
Kent advises Lyn about many decisions throughout the game. Usually, he takes a more serious and sensible stance on things. He continues to help her up to Castle Caelin, and then goes back to the Caelin forces.
Eliwood/Hector's tale
Kent appears in Noble Lady of Caelin, Chapter 15 of Eliwood's tale and Chapter 16 of Hector's tale. He, Lyn, Sain, Florina, and Wil are trapped outside Castle Caelin when the Laus army attacks the castle. Anxiously, they are stuck outside, worried about Marquess Hausen's safety. They spot Eliwood and Hector's army coming from the west and decide to join them. The two groups converge and work up to the castle.
Kent joins Eliwood and Hector's army and fights with them for the rest of the story.

Personality and character
Kent is a serious knight of Caelin. He is very virtuous and good-willed, often trying to be helpful for others. Kent's speech is polite and sophisticated, and he is generally very friendly to others, although he does have to chastise Sain for his relaxed attitudes towards being a knight. He has a very strong sense of duty, although many seem to comment on this.[1] As another flaw, he says to Sain that he has trouble talking to women.[2] He is overall a very chivalrous, dedicated knight.
In his first appearance, Kent is a normal cavalier in the service of Caelin. At the end of Lyn's tale, he becomes the commander of Caelin's knights.[3] He is very dedicated to Lyn, the next marquess of Caelin, and he seems to have feelings for her.[4] His partner and good friend is Sain, a very relaxed, flirtatious cavalier. He speaks little about his background or past.
